Today, 10/21, I’ll be hosting a live audio room on LinkedIn at 7:30 am MST all about how to effectively manage a trade show as a packaging sales rep. With PackExpo right around the corner, it seemed like a great topic!
Here’s a sneak preview (the recording will be available for all my premium subscribers):
If you are going to walk the show, have a plan and be flexible - walking a show is painful and time consuming so make a plan, but leave room for interruptions
Be active in the booth - I’d say less than 20% of booths get 90% of the action, so don’t be afraid to venture outside the booth and get some people to yours
If you have to work the booth, have a plan and be flexible - use calendly and start a few weeks early to get customers and prospects to come by
When walking the show, remember it’s not about you - nobody is sitting there at their booth hoping to be sold something
Use an app like Popl to share and get contact information - I don’t always trust the show apps, so control your data collection
Sound interesting and want to dive in deeper?
Join the LinkedIn Live event tomorrow am at 7:30 MST…sorry PST people.
